3 a.m. syndrome
I'm on the computer and it's 3 a.m. and I'm not really doing much of anything. My apartment smells more like incense now than smoke which is a definite plus. Shanna had a couple of old high school pals of hers here while I was hanging with Levi playing some Mario Tennis. We ended up watching The Diary of Ellen Rimbaurer (prequel to Stephen King's "Rose Red"). Then discussed robots controlling hostility and whether or not we would accept a non-violent society because of our nature. I talked about a news interview I saw with Ray Bradbury about how we as a people cannot really depend on Earth forever and that space exploration and colonization was the future. To put it simple our goal wouldn't be for one nation to take over everything or vice-versa, just for us to accept the fact that we all need to think outside of our preconstructed boxes. He made a lot of good points but was cut down by Neil Cavuto (not really they just ran out of time). I never really thought about space as the future of our society. It seems very dreamy but not realistic. But just look at all of the accomplishments we have already made into space. I think it isn't very far along the road until we will have a base of some sort on the moon. Maybe there will be affordable travel to outer space for tours. There are endless possibilities out there. If only we could stop spending money on things that shouldn't be in the first place. Oh well that's all my rambling for tonight, I feel like an old man now.
Shawn
